Civil Society Organizations
Sustainable Greece 2020 Initiative promotes Sustainable Development as a common goal, aspiration and framework of cooperation between the Greek market, the Greek State and the Civil Society. Participating in the Initiative, Civil Society Organizations have the ability to:
- Co-formulate a framework that will allow the creation of a new development model for Greece, the model of Sustainable Economy, and facilitate the exit of our country from the economic crisis.
- Shape proposals for a National Strategy for Sustainable Development.
- Strengthen their profile with the connection and involvement in an Initiative that reflects and connects with the most innovative trends of the international and European political agenda.
- Take part in a Network where the pioneers in Sustainable Development issues are involved, either they are Businesses/Professional Associations, the Local Authorities or the Civil Society/NGO’s.
- Highlight their best practices and promote their activities –as far as the progress of their efforts- on Sustainable Development issues.
- Be informed on the latest trends of Sustainable Development through the Sustainability Observatory.
- Enhance networking and create cooperations with businesses, local authorities (Regions or Municipalities) or other Civil Society Organizations (NGO’s, Citizens Groups etc).
